I am fascinated by the French colonial typefaces on architectural works in Saigon, such as the East Gate of Ben Thanh market. During my research, I discovered that these letters are part of the Art Deco style. The final assignment of the Type Design Starter class is to develop a typeface. I decided to select a topic I enjoy working on so that I could delve deeper into Art Deco and its application to typeface design.

"Remember the Night" is a typeface that takes inspiration from the opening text of the movie of the same name, directed by Mitchell Leisen. This typeface falls under the Art Deco style and is used for decorative purposes. It evokes an old-fashioned and nostalgic feel, making it ideal for content related to the Art Deco school from the 1920s to the 1930s. It's been used in various fields such as literature, history, and film.
